DescriptionThis certification course trains students in the inspection, maintenance, and safety evaluation of commercial vehicles including tractors, trailers, and buses. Designed to meet federal and state regulatory standards, the course covers the fundamentals of pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, identifying mechanical defects, brake systems analysis, lighting and electrical checks, suspension components, and vehicle documentation review. Emphasis is placed on compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT inspection criteria. Upon successful completion, students will be qualified to perform certified vehicle inspections in a professional capacity, ensuring roadworthiness and regulatory compliance in the commercial transportation industry. Applicants must be 18 years of age and hold a valid drivers license from any state. |
